Meet-Up Job Sharing Geneva

Great success of the job sharing meet-up in Geneva

…on May 14, 2018 in an exceptional co-working and innovation space for young creatives and entrepreneurs at Impact Hub Geneva.

On the initiative of the PTO association in collaboration with the Emilie Gourd Foundation, environmental experts ffu-pee, Randstad, JAM International and pdp, the first job-sharing meet-up in Geneva was also a great success in Lausanne. Almost 70 people attended the meeting and actively participated in the discussion rounds, which focused on various key job sharing topics. The participants came from a wide range of professional backgrounds, ensuring great diversity.

Job sharing… tell me more!

This model is proving increasingly popular in Switzerland and is very attractive for all generations, men and women. Job sharing enables access to positions of responsibility through part-time work. Companies are increasingly interested in this model as it enables them to retain talent. It also enables a transfer of knowledge. It is not just part-time work for women, but on the contrary a solution for men and women who are looking for a balance between private and professional life without neglecting their career, or who are looking for professional diversity.

An animated evening to test duos

To facilitate the formation of these new professional couples, the evening also offered the opportunity to form partnerships via interactive games to learn how to apply as a couple and give participants the chance to ask all their questions to the experts present in the co-working area. A speed dating session encouraged participants to share their experiences and, in the best case scenario, find a professional partner.

A first job-sharing couple who found each other at the end of the evening….

An intensive exchange took place during the discussion rounds with the PTO moderators…
